Good old Jenny!
Our oldest pet is a large and very skinny soon to be 16 year old female tabby called Jenny. She is quite unique in that she has one ear up and one ear down which gives her a kind of pirate look.
We adopted Jenny as a kitten from a brown cardboard box with a sign that said “Free Kittens”. Well, I guess I should be honest about this…..I had my 2 kids with me plus a friend of my son’s and I adopted ALL of the kittens in the box…but as I explained to my husband there were ONLY 3 kittens and I couldn’t take 2 and leave 1! One went home with my son’s friend…boy, was his mother surprised! So we really only adopted 2. Jenny’s brother Forrest died about 8 years ago and so we only have 1 out of 3.
Jenny is a sweet tempered, slightly senile sweetie! She only weighs 6.5 lbs….she used to weigh 11 lbs. and was a gentle lion. Now in the evening of her years she mostly sleeps and talks to me about why the food I fed her is not what she wanted.
